DAY 007 – FAIR PLAY DANCE CAMP

SHARE

Hard morning again! Let skip my day – I read a book- and directly…

FOCUS ON THE DANCE TO BEATBOX BATTLE

This unique concept totally amazed me! You can’t imagine how crazy it was yesterday.

1️⃣ First. I met Rahzel and we took a picture together. YES!

2️⃣ Second. The whole week I became a little bit silly with all these beatboxers doing their thing completely everywhere in the camp. Their noises were surrounding me as they were little ghosts. From the chill place, to the office. Every night, I went to their battles to give more hype to my party night. Yesterday, they were the party of my night.

3️⃣ Third. Salah made the best solo of the camp. This symbiose between Rahzel and him was just beautiful – i will try to post it here.

4️⃣ Fourth. My friend Boi Mijo took the win – see below.

5️⃣ Fifth. I spent (again) a wonderful moment with friends. Like every day, but still – it’s so good to live that I guess it’s good to write too.

WHAT’S THE PROCESS?

The event started with preselections through cyphers. Let me tell you straight: I don’t like that. But it’s gonna change so it’s okay! But yes, it’s totally not the more efficient to get the best dancers because here is the point.

The 8 selected dancers (through cyphers – you get me, uh!) will be dancing on live beatboxing made by the best of the world. Which is totally not comparable: the level wasn’t equal. With such a great – and unique event, that would put it into an other level.

Quarters, semis, finals… Winner get all the workshops of Fair Play Dance Camp 2018 for free. Which is really a great opportunity.

A LAST THING TO SAY?

I can’t say I’m proud but I’d say that I’m blessed attending an event where organizers really love what they do and the reason they are doing it. Each of them love them love dancing. Even if everything ain’t perfect, I can see that they are always willing to do better: they listen to people and try to change things to make it more close to what our community needs. To collaborate with World Beatbox Camp was such a great idea that I still can’t imagine why it never have been made before – even in Europe. I mean ‘seriously, that’s so evident‘ !
